Welcome to Young Voices

Founded in 2005 by Marian Bender, Young Voices of Indianapolis is a not-for-profit community choral organization involving children and young adults in grades 2-12 from the greater Indianapolis are. Young Voices of Indianapolis seeks to provide a superior choral music education with an emphasis on community outreach and mission. Our founding principles encourage choir members to use their gifts and talents to support the Indianapolis community through mission and community service projects.

This focus on service is one of the ways in which Young Voices sets itself apart. While performance excellence is an important component of our organization, we always look for opportunities to reach out to others through the beauty of the music we make.

Our unique organization is dedicated to offering the youth of Central Indiana an excellent musical education, while keeping the number of rehearsal hours each week to a minimum. We understand the importance of family time and the need to create balanced schedules in young people's lives.

The choirs perform extensively throughout the local community in both concert settings and in the course of helping others through music. In addition, Concert Choir and Encore Singers have the opportunity to tour nationally and internationally.

Young Voices of Indianapolis members find that they are not only building lasting friendships and growing as musicians, but most importantly, they are experiencing the fulfilling rewards of helping others.
